On the water since 14 months old

I was born in Miami, raised in Fort Lauderdale, and I've been on boats since I was 14 months old. Growing up, my free time was spent fishing and spearfishing, and I've loved the water and the lifestyle that comes with it for as long as I can remember. When it came time to choose a career, there was never really a question.

I went to Cardinal Gibbons High School and attended Florida Atlantic University. I started in new yacht sales right out of high school, then added brokerage, and I've now been in yacht sales for more than 10 years. For more than seven of those years I've also worked as a brokerage manager.

I hold a USCG 100-ton Master license, and I've personally run boats up to 80 feet. That shapes how I work. When I look at a boat with you, I'm looking at it the way a captain does: how she runs, how she's been looked after and what she's going to need. On a sea trial, I'm paying attention to the things a spec sheet can't tell you. I drive boats, I fix them, and I live and breathe yachts.

My focus is the $1–10 million luxury day boat market: boats that owners use often, frequently run themselves and expect to be right every time they leave the dock. I also know new yacht construction very well, and I know sportfishing boats. I've sold an 80' Viking along with other respected fishing boats, so I understand what serious anglers look for.

Being hands-on means I can help with more than the paperwork. If a boat needs work before a sale or after a purchase, I'll consult with you on the repairs so the job gets done properly and you don't overpay for it. If you're selling, I know what your boat needs and how to get the most value from it. If you're buying, I'll tell you plainly what you're looking at.

I'm a member of the IYBA. RM Yachting works in Fort Lauderdale year-round and in Sag Harbor and the Hamptons each summer. Whether you're buying, selling or just want an honest opinion on what your boat is worth, I'd love to hear from you.

Smooth seas, Daniel

A broker who runs and fixes boats

01

A captain's perspective

I hold a USCG 100-ton Master license and have personally run boats up to 80 feet. I look at every boat the way a captain would: how she runs, how she's been looked after and what she'll need.

02

Hands-on, with repair know-how

I drive boats and I fix them. If work is needed before a sale or after a purchase, I'll advise you on the repairs so they're done properly and you don't overpay.

03

$1–10M day boat specialist

Luxury day boats from $1 to $10 million are my focus. I understand what these boats need and how to present them to maximize their value.

04

New build and sportfish expertise

I started in new yacht sales and know new yacht construction well. I also know sportfishing boats, and I've sold an 80' Viking along with other respected fishing boats.
